My recent stay at the Covered Wagon Motel in Lusk, Wyoming, was a delightful journey back in time, reminiscent of Ireland's charming villages. After a long drive, we were greeted by exceptionally clean rooms that invited us in for a peaceful night's rest. The hot water in the shower was just what I needed to unwind, preparing me for a restful sleep in the comfortable king bed.The following morning, our family enjoyed a hearty breakfast in the buffet dining room while watching videos about the blizzard of 1949, offering us a glimpse into the area's history, much like exploring the historical sites around Dublin.While waiting for breakfast, I strolled around the motel, admiring its Western decor and the captivating photos showcasing its evolution over the years. The game trophies added an authentic touch that resonated with my own fondness for nature back home.the Covered Wagon Motel provided a family-friendly atmosphere with engaging activities, like exploring the Oregon Trail nearby, making it an ideal stop for those seeking a blend of comfort and history on their travels. A quiet town before reaching bustling Cheyenne, this charming motel offered spacious rooms, a pool, sauna, and hot tub to unwind.
